In detail

What is covered

About thirty minutes with the physician who read your imaging: what your scan shows and does not show, whether the pattern of your symptoms fits a torn, leaking disc, what the annulogram would tell us, and what the procedure would and would not do in your case. Your history — prior treatments, injections, surgery — is part of the conversation, not a form you fill in beforehand.

What you leave with

A straight answer about candidacy, a written quote for the package that fits your case, and a realistic picture of the timeline: same-day discharge, up and about the next day, and healing measured over months rather than days. No obligation follows from it.

When the answer is no

Sometimes the honest answer is that this procedure is not right for you — because the pain is coming from a facet joint or the sacroiliac joint, because there are signs that need a surgeon first, or because the imaging does not suggest a leaking disc. We will say so, and say why. A physician reviewing your case and saying no is a useful answer, not a wasted appointment.

Common questions

The candidacy screening of your imaging happens before you travel, and the written answer and quote come from it. The in-person evaluation, on the day you are seen, is what confirms candidacy.

Start with the scan you already have.

A physician screens the MRI you already have and tells you in writing whether you appear to be a candidate — before you spend anything, least of all a flight.
